Today we took our neighbors, Eddie and Camille Pothier, and their niece June Muollo to see our house for the first time. We had the added pleasure of meeting our son Thom and his family at the house at the same time. That all happened just before the rains came down and down and down - very heavily. They all like the house and want to party.
Our grandaughter, Cindy, was happy to finally have the run of the house. On prior visits we had to stay out of the way of the trades who were working on the house. Click on the photo below to see more pictures.

David Poslusny of Pro Technologies was at the house today to complete the installation of the security system. Click on the picture below to see more photos.

Today the building inspector, Thom Roy, came to inspect the whole house. At the end of the inspection, we got our occupancy permit. This is a big day at Brogan house. It was a tense time. I forgot to take pictures, except for the few below.
This is a picture of the Occupancy Permit for the town of Fremont signed by Thom Roy, Building Inspector.

Below is the completed electrical panels. We now have electricity everywhere it should be.

You may not recognize the site below. You have seen this spot many times in Brogan House pictures, but this time it is different. There is no blue porta potty. We now have inside plumbing and that’s a good thing.

Today was a very busy day with many things happening. I have broken them down by trade so everyone gets credit for the work they did on this very busy day.
Steve and I started the day early so that we could pick up the missing vanity at Home Depot and deliver it to Fremont for immediate installation. Click on the picture below to see more.

The men from Northlite Glass and Mirror came to install the glass shower doors in the master bath. There are so many pieces, I am glad they did the work. Click on the picture below to see more.

Kat and Steve Whitcomb came back to finish the plumbing and heating part of the job. Check out the special feature we had installed to impress our grandchildren. Click on the picture below to check out what’s happening in the bath.

Once upon a time, a man could build a house using his own ideas and his own labor. Now in the age of specialization, many different trades are needed to play their part in the completion of a house. We are blessed that all of the trades worked together so well. Do you know that I take a picture of the electrical box every time I go to the house, even though I may not display the picture? Now you can be impressed with the many circuits that are wired and ready to use. Click on the photo below to see more pictures.

Today Whitecomb Plumbing and Heating are doing their part to make our house a livable place to be. Plumbing and heating are so necessary, but don’t get much notice - unless they don’t work. Click on the picture below to see more photos.

On Sunday our son Chris and his family came to visit. Check out the pictures below.

Remember all those boxes from Standard of New England carrying our plumbing supplies - here are some that have been put in place. Click on the picture below to see more photos.

Greg Young and his team have been on the job for a long time. They do a lot of unnoticed work. They make sure the walls are perfectly smooth. If the surface to be painted does not meet Greg’s requirements, it is filled and smoothed out again. All the woodwork - and there is a lot of woodwork - has a coat of stain and then several coats of polyurethane - all of which have to be sanded in between applications.

Greg is a perfectionist and yes, he does perfect work
