Greg Young and his team have been on the job for a long time. They do a lot of unnoticed work. They make sure the walls are perfectly smooth. If the surface to be painted does not meet Greg’s requirements, it is filled and smoothed out again. All the woodwork - and there is a lot of woodwork - has a coat of stain and then several coats of polyurethane - all of which have to be sanded in between applications.

The big truck from Standard of New England arrived with our plumbing supplies.
If you saw a large group of boxes full of appliances, would you stop and wonder how the got into the kitchen? Fortunately we got to watch the whole process. The appliances came on a Ragz Express Company truck. The men who delivered them are Willy Villa and Mike Nutton. They had to carry them up the stairs at the front of the house. They use a harness over their shoulder and under the appliance to move it. With each piece, the men exchanged position going up the stairs. Click on the photo belowto see more.
We are always happy to see Al Hallee and Zack Brackett working at our house. Click on the picture below to check out what they are doing.
There were some trees on the edge of the road that needed to be cut to provide better visibility when leaving our driveway. Keith Burleigh, Brody Bolduc and Joey Bolduc did the job. Click on the picture below to see the action.
We didn’t plan on going to the house today, but when a question arose that we couldn’t answer over the phone, we took an afternoon drive. Click on the picture below to see how many new things have happened since yesterday.
Today is Monday - after the 4th of July weekend. The sun is shining and the temperatures are in the high 80’s. Steve finished edging the stone around the house. He did a nice job and it looks good. We both worked at closing all the little holes in the stone wall. We don’t want any creepy crawlys coming out to visit.
Greg Young and Jay Segal are busy painting the walls and woodwork. They do excellent work.
The piece parts for the master bathroom arrived and are awaiting install.
John Fiery and his team are completing the kitchen and the woodwork. Click on the picture below to check the progress.

The counter tops arrived at 7:15 this morning. They look wonderful and we are anxious to see them in position.
Al Hallee and Zack Brackett are back to install lighting for the house.
The heavy rain erroded only three spots on the lawn. Steve worked diligently to get the soil washed into the driveway back to the washouts in the lawn.
We are working on the rock wall. It is structurally sound, we just want to make it totally filled in.
Later in the day, when we happened to go by, we saw the painter’s trucks there.

Today is July 1, 2008. We have grass - wonderfull green grass. We didn’t intend to have grass because we want to have ground cover or something that does not have to be mowed regularly. We planted the grass so the soil would stay in place. We are both so happy to see the grass growing so green. It changes the look of the place. Click on the picture below to see more grass.
